Copper slats improve productivity by lasting up to six to eight times longer than steel slats and may function for up to two years. Slag build up occurs at a much slower rate than for steel and they are easier to clean. While copper slats are more expensive than steel they pay for themselves with reduced time and cost for replacement and cleaning. Quality of cut parts improves as there is reduced slag build-up that causes the laser to bounce back and mar the bottom surface of the cut material.
"The biggest benefit of SlatPro copper slats was that the stainless steel does not laser weld to the slats. In addition to the quality improvement of our parts, we will also save costs by eliminating the weekly cleaning of the grates."
